There will be almost 100 live performances - including 3 SPILL commissions of brand new work, lots of world premieres - alongside a brand new major National Platform for emerging artists.
SPILL 2009 hosts an extraordinary event at the National Theatre Studio where emerging artists from around the UK will showcase exciting work being created today, by the names of the future.
In addition to its rich programme of performances SPILL 2009 includes a series of events dedicated to furthering conversations and responses to the work on show.
Working in collaboration with SPILL commissioned photographer Manuel Vason, a range of maverick artists have restaged a full deck of 78 tarot cards.
The Phoenix Artist Club will be the dedicated SPILL Festival Bar.
The Live Art Development Agency is collaborating with the SPILL Festival 2009 to create the SPILL Specials for sale on Unbound, the Agency’s online shop for Live Art books, dvds, multiples, and limited editions.
