SPILL will be back in 2020. In the meantime there is loads to get involved with at our Think Tank (next door to Ipswich Museum).
The Pyre Parade will be returning to the streets of Ipswich again later this year. In 2019 over 500 of us marched from the Waterfront to Christchurch Park to burn our bad news. Those of you keen to get involved: we are running a bi-weekly Pyre Choir for all the family from May, where we will learn local folk songs and adapt old classics to sing as we parade through the town. From August we are running Parade Skills sessions for adults and kids to make masks, costumes and things to carry.
And there’s more! New for 2019, the Think Tank Club presents eclectic performances, up close and personal, in a relaxed club house environment. There is a Tarot Weekend Course on the Major Arcana, led by specialist Diana Granger-Taylor. Ipswich Museum are lending us some of their specimens for our relaxed natural history drawing drop-in sessions. Plus there’s even an Ipswich Biscuit competition, where you are invited to enter a recipe to make our town known with a great bake.
