WELCOME TO SPILL 2021 - on memory
SPILL is a festival of art and adventure, lovingly crafted in Ipswich. For five days this autumn we are presenting an exciting programme of events at locations across the town. You don’t have to be an art expert to join in, and everyone is welcome.
Use this website to find out all about SPILL 2021, see what’s on and book tickets. Everything is Pay What You Choose. There are lots of great events happening and everything has been created mindful of everyone’s safety. If you would like to volunteer that is a great way to experience the festival and be part of it at the same time. If you have any questions about anything to do with SPILL please do contact us. We are looking forward to spending the festival with you. Enjoy exploring and from all us us here, Happy SPILL ‘21.

‘ON MEMORY’ TEXTS
For this edition of SPILL we invited three people to each write a text responding to the festival’s theme of Memory. Diana Damian Martin reflects on her time as SPILL Writer across recent years; SPILL founder and outgoing Artistic Director Robert Pacitti reflects on the first 10 festivals; and SPILL’s new Artistic Director Robin Deacon shares memories of festivals past, to look to the future.
ACCESS
Equal Access is not additional or separate from the events programme at SPILL - it is embedded at the core of what we do - physically, financially and attitudinally. We believe that everyone's views are valid and we advocate diversity of opinion without that becoming unsafe for anyone. The festival has step‐free access all venues and sites it is showing at. Our varied programme is friendly, offered on a ‘pay what you choose’ basis, lots of events are free, and everyone is welcome. Some events are British Sign Language interpreted and we hope to meet the needs of all guests. More details on our ACCESS page.
