ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sophie Giller is an artist working across the mediums of sculpture, textiles, expanded painting and installation. Her work emphasises process, labour, care, domesticity, hierarchies of art mediums, emotion, and the social history of everyday materials.

Recently, she has been creating site-specific works by researching the historical and social contexts of place, architecture and location and making installations that resound and relate to the interior features of the space.
